Description
The Gables has been recently refurbished to the highest standard and is under the personal supervision of Connie Herbert. Lunch is served daily and a wide selection of bar food available throughout the day. Sunday lunches a speciality. There is a very warm atmosphere in the Gables Bar and our restaurant offers the best in local produce.
Athea, a small village on the banks of the River Gale, is situated almost on the Kerry border, twenty minutes from Ballybunion, and is a gateway to Tralee, Killarney and the Dingle Peninsula. Athea is noted for Irish music, dance and song. We are also the hosts of the Annual Athea Road Race and can boast of an excellent fishing experience at Glasha Lake while, nearby Abbeyfeale hosts an excellent 9-hole golf course, equestrian centre and great shopping.
